Workshop on Right to Service Act, 2011

A Workshop on the subject of Right to Service Act, 2011 was organized by MGSIPAP, District Centre Hoshiarpur on September 8, 2011 in which Officers & Officials of different departments participated. Sh. Surjit Singh PCS (retd.) District Programme Coordinator Hoshiarpur welcomed the participants & gave a brief account of the aims, objects and reasons behind the spirit of the new legislation. He explained that 67 Public Services have been notified which are to be provided within the stipulated period mentioned in the Act. Shri Banke Bihari, Under Secretary (retd.), resource person delivered a detailed lecture on the subject and explained each and every provision of the new Act.

Workshop on Soft Skills A workshop on Soft Skills was organized by District Centre, Hoshiarpur in which Officers/Officials of various departments participated. In the opening session of the workshop Shri Surjit Singh, District Programme Coordinator welcomed the participating audience and explained in brief the objectives of the workshop. Two Sessions of the workshop were addressed by Shri Jaswant Singh Saini, resource person on the subject of ethics and values in good governance & motivation and two sessions on the subjects of team Management and decision making were addressed by Smt. Sangeeta Shonik, resource person. It was a highly interactive programme wherein the participants asked questions freely and the resource persons addressed all the queries.
