Administrative Research
An important meeting related to Administrative Research was organized by
District Centre Bathinda on September 29, 2011. Sh. Mandeep Singh. District
Coordinator, headed the meeting Dr. Kamaljit Singh Sidhu, Assitant
Directed, Youth Services, Sh. Kulwant Singh Brar, Assitant Commissioner
Retd. Excise and Taxation. Sh. Darshan Singh Bajaj, Lt. Col (Retd.) Daya
Singh, Miss Arpana Leclikar, Bathinda law College, Sh. Ramandeep Singh
Sidhu Advocate and Dr. Tarun Arora, Assitant Professor, Central University of
Punjab had participated in the meeting. Sh. Mandeep Singh, initiated the
meeting and explained the process of Administrative Research initiated by
MGSIPAP and said that Administrative research is a base for good
Administration. He said, a meeting was organized which was presided over
by honorable Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda in which Dr. R.K. Sharma,
MGSIPAP Chandigarh gave detailed information regarding the standards
fixed for Administrative Research. In the meeting, Dr. Arora presented 2
research projects i.e. women empowerment and Right to Education.
Moreover Sh. Ramandeep Singh Sidhu was asked to present a research
report on Right to Information Act. Assitant Director, Youth Services, Dr.
Kamaljit Singh Sidhu said on the occasion that in order to inspire youths to do
different tasks there is need to have a research which may give some good
results.
Seminar on RTS Ordinance and RTI Act, 2005
The District Centre of Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Punjab (MGSIPAP) at Bathinda organized a seminar on 14 September 2011 on the Right to Service Act (RTS) Ordinance and Right to Information Act (RTI) for officers and officials of Municipal Corporation, Improvement Trust, Social Security and Health. Mr. Kamal Kishor Yadav, DC Bathinda addressing the seminar, not only gave information about various aspects of RTS ordinance and RTI but also appreciated the initiative taken by MGSIPAP. He also promoted the officers and official of different departments to take part and to show their interest in such activities. Senior Officer from DC Office Bathinda Mr. Vinod Kumar Advocate Mr. Darshan Singh Bajaj also explained various aspects about RTI Act. He also said that every person should know full information regarding RTI Act so that they should do their duties well.
