Set
up in 1978, MGSIPAP shifted to its own 12-acre campus in April
2000. The new campus is in the pollution-free Sector 26 Institutional
Area, and is separated by the width of a road from the Golf Club and Lake.
The Institute is part of the Learning Zone comprising of public schools,
private colleges, and institutions of higher learning. It is conveniently
located - less than 6 km. from the railway station & 4.5 km. from
the Sector 17 inter-State bus terminal.

The
campus presently comprises of centrally air-conditioned Convention
Center and Library buildings, apart from a Hostel Block.

The Academic Center, Auditorium, Amphitheatre, & Sports Complex
buildings are yet to be completed. A
Computer Lab with 60+ computers on LAN has come up. The
Institute has its own sub-station and stand-by DG sets.

Conference Rooms
The Institute has conference rooms for 15, 30, & 50 participants in
its Convention Centre. The rooms are equipped with excellent conference
tables, revolving chairs, & overhead projectors. Multimedia, PA system,
& recording facilities are provided on demand.
Class Rooms
There are three centrally air-conditioned classrooms, two of which accommodate
25 trainees each, & a third for 35 trainees. All are spacious &
equipped with comfortable chairs, tables, white boards, overhead projectors,
& slide projectors. The rooms are free from interference & noise
pollution.
Hostel
The
hostel has the Golf Club and forest area as the backdrop. There are 24
single & 24 double rooms on 4 floors to accommodate the trainees.
An expert housekeeping team looks after the hostellers & a well-known
caterer provides tasty and nutritious food. There are spacious common areas
on each floor, which are being developed as a news floor, an entertainment
floor, & a sports floor with indoor games & gymnasium equipment.
Computer-cum-Communication
Center

The
institute has setup a state-of-art infrastructure for imparting
computer training .The facilities include 60 P4/PIII/Celeron based
machines working on Windows-NT network.

All computers are networked on LAN. The network provides MS - Exchange
based collaborative solutions,e-Governance solutions and office productivity
applications. The institute is using various software platforms and
tools including Linux, MS-Office 2000/ XP, Adobe Publishing, Macromedia,
Star Office, MS SQL, etc. |

service is ensured through necessary hardware & software backup.
The labs are being used to spread computer literacy and to achieve
e-Governance. |
Library
The training facilities on the campus are supported by a library with
over 40,000 volumes, apart from CDs, video films, journals, & computers
linked to the Internet for Web-based learning.
Kitchen & Dining Halls
The Institute has 2 well-equipped kitchens fitted with air washers &
air-conditioned dining halls to satisfy the palates of the trainees/participants.
The catering is done by an expert team.
Parking Areas
The Institute has well-designed & properly located parking areas to
ensure comfortable & jam free parking for up to 300 vehicles.
Tariffs
The training programmes are designed primarily for Punjab Government personnel.
However, a mutually beneficial interchange of ideas is encouraged by offering
a few seats in each programme to the corporate sector and others. The
course fee and other details will be available in the programme brochures
/ on demand from the Course Directors. Programmes can also be designed
and conducted according to the special needs of any organization or group.
